Cometdocs

Documents come in various formats, which serve different purposes. Traditional text editors don't have much to offer when it comes to converting documents from one format to another, but you can overcome this limitation with specialized applications. With Cometdocs, converting a documents can be as easy as copying, pasting or deleting a file. The application adds new options to the Windows Explorer context menu, which can be used to convert documents and images to PDF and vice-versa. Furthermore, Cometdocs allows you to store and manage your documents on the cloud and share them via direct link or through a social media.

The application is free, but it comes with a few limitations, which can be removed by upgrading to a paid version. It is available for Windows PCs, as well as Android and iOS mobile devices. Downloading and installing Cometdocs is a quick procedure, which does not involve any kind of configurations.

Instead of preparing a conversion process, on a user interface, all you have to do is right click a document and select an option to convert it to PDF. The conversion process is fast and you can view its progress on a small window, which can be displayed through the application's system tray icon. Cometdocs is capable of converting various documents to PDF, including Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, plain text files and others. The operation can be performed in reverse as well.

Besides installing the application on your computer, you also need to create an online account, to access a web interface. Cometdocs allows you to upload your documents just by dragging and dropping them over the web interface, on your default browser. You can also organize your documents in folders and sub-folders, convert and share them, on the same web interface, just by clicking and dragging. Uploaded documents can be sent directly to one or more contacts via email or shared over a social network, like Facebook, Twitter or Google Plus. Alternatively, you can host your documents and send share links.
